ATHENA 1st student Hackathon

Dear student, dear ATHENIAN!

Welcome to the ATHENA 1st student Hackathon! The event will occur from the 24th to the 28th of April, 2023. The objective is to build an application that will deal with one of the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
  • Sustainable Cities and Communities.
  • Good Health and Well-Being.
  • Responsible, Consumption, and Production.
  • Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
The process will be the following:
  • You need to register at this link: shorturl.at/sPS19
  • Please register by the 7th of April, 2023.
  • Please select in the registration form your 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th selection regarding the targeted SDGs.
  • During the 1st online meeting (24th of April), you will be split into teams (with no more than 7 members per team). At most, two teams can select the same SDG. You will meet with your team to decide what app you can make.
  • During the 1st meeting, experts on the four SDGs will present them (15 minutes for each presentation).
  • On the 28th of April, each team will present the prototype of its application that deals with the selected SDG.
The organization committee will provide as a trophy the sponsorship to further develop your idea.

Healthy Boundaries and assertive communication

We are very happy announce to this Wednesday(22nd of March 2023) in ATHENA Soft Skills Academy, Ms. Susan Gagliano. Susan will discuss with us, through a very interactive session, about Healthy Boundaries and assertive communication. The talk will start at 17:00 CET.

1st Online School in printed electronics

The Emerging Printed Electronics Research Infrastructure (EMERGE) organizes its 1st Online School in printed electronics.

The school starts on Monday, the 20th of March, and will last until the 24th of March, 2023. The lectures begin at 11.00 CET and terminate at 16.00 CET.

Mathematics learning as the art of transitioning across discourses

We are delighted in Hellenic Mediterranean University to host tomorrow at ATHENA Talks (in collaboration with the Innovative Teaching Education in Mathematics – iTEM, Pythagoras Erasmus, and @ MathDigger Erasmus projects) Professor Igor Kontorovich (The University of Auckland, New Zealand).

The title of the talk (March 9th @10.00 CET) will be: Mathematics learning as the art of transitioning across discourses.
