Co-Creation Hub

Co-Creation Hub

At the ATHENA Co-Creation Hub, Fab Labs, makerspaces, and Design Factories from the alliance open their creative workshops for hands-on collaboration and joint projects. This innovative platform is designed to encourage collaboration across the entire ATHENA ecosystem, including students, staff, industry, and civil society.

The Co-Creation Hub serves as a distinctive venue for individuals to converge and work together on fresh ideas, products, and solutions. It promotes the establishment of interdisciplinary networks and facilitates co-creation on both national and international levels. The shared working spaces within the Co-Creation Hub provide access to instructional content and equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutting machines, CNC routers, and plotters.

Through the Co-Creation Hub, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders can tap into the necessary resources and support to bring their ideas to fruition. It offers collaborative opportunities like applied research, challenge-based learning, prototyping, hackathons, and networking events.

Researchers can develop prototypes at a specific university and subsequently have them evaluated and utilised by researchers from another institution. In certain scenarios, remote process control is already a viable option. Additionally, experts in research, investment, and industry can share their knowledge and expertise with students and start-ups within the alliance, contributing to their growth and success.
