A lot has happened in the ATHENA alliance during the last month of spring – May. Now that June has finally arrived, let’s take a look back and overview the highlights of May.
ATHENA strategic events
May at ATHENA kicked off with full force as ATHENA partners gathered for the 6th ATHENA European University meeting in Rome, at the campus of Università Niccolò Cusano. The meeting featured various activities, including inspiring talks by renowned speakers, engaging parallel and plenary sessions, and social events.
ATHENA participated in the first strategic dialogue on European Universities in Maastricht, Netherlands, and attended the conference for French and Spanish universities involved in the European University initiative in Madrid, Spain. Representatives from the University of Vigo and the University of Orléans, part of ATHENA, benefited from the political and strategic discussions and exchanged good practices with peers from other alliances.
On May 18-19, the Hellenic Mediterranean University hosted its main international event in Chania, Greece. The 10th international week’s main topic was the development of soft and research skills. The event took place in collaboration with the ATHENA European University Alliance, and one of the highlights was the participation of 30 students and 20 academics from the alliance network.
