This week, an ATHENA Blended Intensive Programme on Water Resources, Energy Resources, Mineral Resources and Pollution mitigation started at the University of Orléans.
The first week, from 9th to 13th January 2023 is taking place in Orléans and the students will get to learn the basics of digital environmental geosciences: Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Digital Rock Physics and Microfluidics (DRP & MF), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Reactive Transport Modeling (RTM). On top of their classes, participants will enjoy a guided visit of the old town and a treasure hunt “On the path of Joan of Arc” organised by international volunteers.
For the rest of their virtual mobility, the students will work in groups to solve a problem thanks to the knowledge they acquired during their courses and present their projects to their professors.
While this programme is a fantastic learning opportunity, it is also the perfect time to meet fellow international students and make lifelong friendships!
This programme is partnered with the University of Orléans, the University of Siegen and Vilnius Tech.
