ATHENA partneriai

In a stride towards academic collaboration and solidarity, the ATHENA European University Alliance welcomes two new members: the University of Salento (Italy) and the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (Ukraine).

University of Salento: Research and Innovation in the Heart of Puglia

The University of Salento, located in the scenic region of Puglia, Italy, is known for its dynamic approach to higher education, the university offers a wide array of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs across various fields such as Engineering, Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences. With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research and international cooperation, the University of Salento has become a centre for scientific and cultural exchange. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute: A Legacy of Excellence

The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the flagship National Technical University of Ukraine, brings a rich history of academic excellence and innovation along with almost 23,000 students and 2363 staff members. The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, which previously held the status of associated partner, will significantly strengthen our alliance’s disciplinary focus on sustainable production and digitalization. Welcoming them as a full member reaffirms our commitment to supporting European values, particularly during a time of existential threat due to an ongoing war.
