Today marks the official start of the ATHENA Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on “Sustainability of Student Organisations”, hosted by VILNIUS TECH in Vilnius, Lithuania. This fully ATHENA-led initiative brings together students from across the alliance to explore what makes student organisations thrive — and how to ensure their long-term impact.
Following an engaging virtual session on October 13, participants have now gathered in Vilnius for a week full of interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and cultural experiences. Over the next few days, they will dive into key topics such as:
-
Member engagement and retention
-
Collaboration with stakeholders
-
Knowledge management for sustainable organisations
-
Motivation and work ethics in volunteer groups
-
Multicultural collaboration and exchange of best practices
The programme is a unique opportunity for members of the ATHENA Student Board, Students’ Representations, ESN ATHENA, and other student-led organisations to strengthen their leadership and teamwork skills while building cross-border connections.
By the end of the week, participants will have earned 3 ECTS in Organisational Behaviour and Leadership — and, more importantly, gained insights and networks that will support the sustainability of student initiatives within the ATHENA Alliance and beyond.
We are proud to see this 100% ATHENA BIP come to life and can’t wait to share more highlights from the week in Vilnius! 🌍✨
