ATHENAWORKS
The Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) is pleased to share an exciting research opportunity for members of ATHENA partner universities – join us as a research supervisor for our research fellows!
UMCS has been awarded funding under the NAWA programme “Support for European Universities”, receiving a grant entitled “UMCS 4 ATHENA PLUS – Strengthening UMCS International Cooperation within the ATHENA Consortium” (ATHENAWORKS), aimed at strengthening cooperation between UMCS and ATHENA partners.

Research Internships Undertaken by UMCS Staff
We have just opened a call for proposals under Task No. 1 of the project – Scientific Fellowships at ATHENA Universities. The programme will involve 16 researchers from UMCS, representing various research disciplines (a full catalogue of our departments is available in the UMCS booklet). The task involves the implementation of scientific fellowships in a hybrid format. Each fellowship consists of a two-week (14-day) on-site stay at a partner university within the ATHENA consortium, combined with online collaboration.
Scientific Monograph
The outcome of the fellowships will be the preparation and publication of a joint scientific monograph. The publication will constitute the third edition of the Research Book series implemented within the ATHENA consortium. Each participant, in cooperation with the research team of the host university, will prepare a scientific chapter to be published as part of the joint monograph.
What We Offer
- Coverage of travel, accommodation, and fellowship costs for UMCS fellows
