ATHENA Meeting for Nursing, Health Care, and Social Work in Maribor

On June 12, 2024, the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Maribor hosted the ATHENA European University meeting, dedicated to collaboration, idea exchange, and networking among EU ATHENA partners and other institutions in the fields of nursing, health care, and social work.

The workshop was attended by representatives from the ATHENA partner institutes (Polytechnic Institute of Porto, Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, Hellenic Mediterranean University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University) and also from the University of Edinburgh and Akdeniz University.

The workshop facilitated the establishment of connections for scientific research and educational work in the fields of nursing, physiotherapy, and public health. Special emphasis was placed on the development and integration of digital learning content and innovative technologies to promote digital and green transitions in healthcare. The event concluded with a tour of the faculty and a presentation of the Laboratory for Innovative Learning Approaches (Virtual Reality).
