ERACON 2023 is running at the Tor Vergata University of Rome, between 26 and 30 June 2023, with the collaboration of ATHENA. More than 300 ERASMUS Coordinators, Placement and Internships Managers, Career Officers, Researchers, and Professionals with an interest in the ERASMUS+ Programme are participating in the congress to network and discuss the most pressing challenges of the future of higher education. Some of the main themes of the Congress are ERASMUS+ 2021-2027, Quality of ERASMUS Activities, Staff Mobility for Teaching and Training, Funding, and Policy.

ATHENA European University Alliance organized the session “European Universities: what is changing in European Higher Education?” to discuss several initiatives contributing to the higher education transformation wave that is impacting Europe. Represented by Nuno Escudeiro, this important session brought to the debate an integrated approach to the synergies achieved by the Alliance in the European space of higher education within the scope of the four dimensions of universities: education, research, innovation, and service to society.
