ATHENA is pleased to relay the official Call for Research Track Papers for the 30th edition of the European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems (ADBIS 2026).

This milestone edition will take place in Orléans, France, bringing together international researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas, present cutting-edge work, and foster collaboration in the field of data management and information systems.


Scope and Topics

ADBIS 2026 invites original research contributions addressing core data management challenges and innovations across a wide range of areas.

General topics include:

  • Database Management Systems
  • Information Systems Architectures and Data Services
  • Management and Mining of Heterogeneous Data
  • Big Data Management and Analytics
  • Scalable Data Science
  • Responsible Data Science

Specific topics include (non-exhaustive):

  • Data integration, data quality, and provenance
  • Cloud and distributed data management
  • Data mining, knowledge discovery, and AI/ML for databases
  • Privacy, security, data sovereignty, and ethics
  • Graph data, knowledge graphs, and semantic web
  • Query processing and optimization
  • Human-data interaction and explainable systems
  • Big data storage, transformation, and analytics
  • Blockchain, distributed ledgers, and parallel systems
  • FAIR data principles and responsible data management
  • Visualization and analytics techniques for diverse data types

Important Dates

All deadlines are 11:59 PM AoE

  • Abstract submission: May 18, 2026
  • Paper submission: May 18, 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: June 10, 2026
  • Camera-ready papers: June 28, 2026
  • Registration opens: June 15, 2026

Submission Information

ADBIS 2026 welcomes original, unpublished contributions.

Full papers (up to 16 LNCS pages):

  • Regular research papers
  • Experimental re-evaluation studies

Short papers (up to 10 LNCS pages):

  • Work-in-progress / early results
  • Vision papers exploring emerging directions

Accepted full papers will be published in a Springer LNCS volume, while short papers will appear in Springer CCIS.

→ Review process: single-blind (authors must include names and affiliations).
→ At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present at the conference.

Selected top papers will be invited to submit extended versions to a special issue of the journal Information Systems (Elsevier).
