International Mentoring Programme for Students within ATHENAWORKS project

Mentoring title

The recruitment for the International Mentoring Programme implemented within the ATHENAWORKS project is now open!

The programme is addressed to students of all ATHENA partner universities who would like to strengthen their research competences, develop academic writing skills, and gain valuable experience in international academic collaboration.

Participants will:

  • work with experienced mentors from across the ATHENA alliance,
  • receive individual support in developing their own research topic,
  • take part in thematic mentoring seminars and the Academic Skills Boost-Up Summer School,
  • collaborate with students from partner universities,
  • prepare a chapter for a peer-reviewed scientific monograph under the guidance of a mentor.

The programme covers four thematic areas:

  • Regional Policy and International Affairs,
  • Economics,
  • Data Science,
  • Humanities.

The mentoring programme will run from July 2026 to May 2027. Applications are open from 1 to 31 July 2026.

Project Information

The project “UMCS 4 ATHENA PLUS – Strengthening UMCS’s International Cooperation within the ATHENA Consortium” (ATHENAWORKS) is implemented by Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin under the NAWA “Support for European Universities” programme, pursuant to Agreement No. BPI/WUE/2025/1/00018/U/00001.
