From 24 to 28 February 2025, the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) successfully hosted three significant academic events. These events brought together researchers, students, and experts from across Europe to explore the latest advancements in nanotechnology and emerging materials. However, our students’ training has started since October 2024 with the ATHENA Talks 2025, which focused on topics related to the face-to-face activities.
As part of the EMINENT program, the Winter School featured cutting-edge lectures on functional nanomaterials and their diverse applications. Running concurrently, the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) on Emerging Materials and Applications was held in collaboration with the INFRACHIP Research Infrastructure and ATHENA European University, fostering interdisciplinary exchange among participants from leading institutions. In these five days, we had the participation of 51 postgraduate and undergraduate students who interacted very actively with the 20 of our invited experts.
The event also incorporated the INFRACHIP training program, offering online sessions to enhance accessibility and facilitate knowledge dissemination. The BIP provided a platform for international collaboration, welcoming participants from esteemed partner institutions, including the University of Siegen (Germany), VILNIUS TECH (Lithuania), the New University of Lisbon (Portugal), and the University of Orléans (France).
