Erasmus+ Days represent a celebratory occasion dedicated to honouring the European Union’s initiative designed to strengthen education, training, youth, and sports. This year, 9,635 events have been organised, and the ATHENA European Alliance stands as a contributor to this collective effort.
The ATHENA Alliance, initiated by the Hellenic Mediterranean University in Greece, was responsible for the moderation of five round table discussions, spanning over a week. The subjects addressed during the ATHENA Erasmus Days 2023 round tables were aligned with the key priorities of the Erasmus+ Program such as enhanced internationalisation, the establishment of European Universities, and the forging of collaborative partnerships with institutions of higher learning in the African continent.
During the discussions, our panellists and participants revealed good policies, opportunities and challenges regarding the set topics. Moreover, proposals on how to address the main challenges were also suggested. We had 25 panellists, and 180 participants during these round tables.
