Networking
At our network meetings, we bring together companies and researchers from our universities. These meetings serve to deepen existing partnerships and to establish new contacts.
Our meetings usually focus on a specific topic area and consist of short presentations followed by a discussion or personal exchange in smaller groups. We use these meetings to form consortia for joint research projects and to discuss the needs of the labour market. Additionally, they serve to improve our educational programmes, to establish specific advanced training offers, and to initiate joint teaching activities.

VILNIUS TECH organised a networking event with local industry on 5 & 6 September 2023. The thematic focus was on cybersecurity, space technologies, and financial technologies. The event also included an on-site meeting of the ATHENA Industry Interface Committee (IIC) which supports the alliance in strategic decisions related to industry collaboration. Read more...

On 2 May 2023, ATHENA partners gathered at Niccolò Cusano University to meet industry from Rome and the region of Lazio. Three companies discussed joint activities with the university during a presentation session in the morning. Afterwards, all participants visited Sensor Medica, a company that designs medical sensors and measuring instruments for posture, plantar, and whole body analysis. Read more...

The morning session included workshops about circular economy and sustainable logistics. In the afternoon, participants discovered the start-up incubator IET. From 17 to 21 April 2023, ATHENA will be present at the Hannover Messe 2023, one of the most important trade fairs for industry development worldwide. Coordinated by University of Siegen, five ATHENA partner universities will showcase different exhibits on IoT, robotics, and smart sensing at the joint booth of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Industry representatives are warmly invited to visit the booth, learn about the exhibits, and discover opportunities for joint research projects and further training offers for their employees.
A two-day event for companies from the field of IoT and mechatronics is planned to take place at University of Orléans in April 2023. As of today, the event will include presentations of ATHENA and local entreprises followed by a match-making session as well as a company visit.
Niccolò Cusano University has scheduled a networking event with local companies on 2 May 2023 from 9 am to 6 pm. The morning session includes presentations from business representatives while visits to local companies are arranged in the afternoon.
The date and topic of a networking event at Vilnius Tech will be confirmed shortly.
Food industry and sustainable food technologies will be at the centre of a networking event at Hellenic Mediterranean University. This event will feature invited experts from the fields of cybersecurity, logistics, and packaging materials, as well as guests from RUFORUM.
